What is a survivalist?

A survivalist is an individual who prepares for and adapts to unexpected or catastrophic situations, such as natural disasters, economic collapses, or societal breakdowns.

They focus on developing skills, knowledge, and strategies to ensure their own survival and well-being in the face of uncertainty or adversity. This can include stockpiling food, water, and supplies, building a safe shelter, learning self-defense techniques, understanding wilderness survival skills, and cultivating mental and physical resilience.

Survivalists often prioritize self-reliance, independence, and preparedness over relying on external authorities or institutions for support. Their ultimate goal is to maintain their quality of life and dignity in the face of chaos or crisis.
