What is SHTF?

SHTF stands for 'Shit Hits The Fan'. It's a colloquialism used to describe a catastrophic event or situation that suddenly and drastically changes the status quo, often with severe consequences.

In the context of survival preparedness and emergency planning, SHTF scenarios can include natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, or floods; man-made disasters like nuclear accidents or terrorist attacks; or economic collapses, pandemics, or widespread civil unrest.

When SHTF, it's essential to have a plan in place for self-defense, food, water, shelter, and communication to increase the chances of survival and minimize risk.
