What is a prepper?

A prepper, also known as a survivalist or prepared individual, is someone who takes proactive steps to prepare for and mitigate the risks associated with various potential disasters, emergencies, or uncertain events.

This may include natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, or floods; man-made catastrophes like economic collapse, pandemics, or terrorist attacks; or even societal disruptions caused by climate change, power outages, or cyberattacks.

Preppers typically focus on building personal resilience and self-reliance by stockpiling essential supplies, learning new skills, and developing strategies for coping with challenging situations. Their goal is to ensure their own safety, security, and well-being in the face of uncertainty, often relying on principles such as self-sufficiency, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
