What is a Faraday bag?

A Faraday bag, also known as an electromagnetic shielding pouch or EMP bag, is a specialized cloth bag designed to block or shield electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and electromagnetic pulses (EMPs).

The bag is typically made of conductive materials such as aluminum or copper fabric, which wraps around the contents, creating a Faraday cage effect. This prevents external electromagnetic interference (EMI) from penetrating the bag and compromising the sensitive electronics inside.

In essence, a Faraday bag acts as an electromagnetic shield, protecting the contents from unwanted signals, including radio frequencies, cell phone signals, GPS signals, and even EMPs caused by natural or man-made sources.
