I started Ash Tales as a showcase for new post apocalyptic fiction, a spiritual home for anything that explores the fascinating, frightening, and sometimes taboo topic of the end of the world.
From seasoned literary pros to enthusiastic amateurs, the site is open to anyone with a desire to understand what the Apocalypse would actually look like. We’ve published stories ranging from grim reflections on the meaning of life after the end, through to quirky, alien-infested romps through the charred wastelands of Earth.
Now, Ash Tales is taking it to the next level.
The Ash Tales Podcast
Today marks the release of the first episode of Ash Tales |Stories of the Apocalypse, a fantasy fiction podcast dedicated exclusively to post apocalyptic fiction.
Each episode is designed as a standalone, self-contained short story, exploring what life might look like in the Apocalypse. Clocking in at 20 minutes or less, every episode is designed to immerse you in a world without society, and explore the grim realities of life after the fall.
From nuclear Armageddon to bio-engineered super plague, no apocalypse is out of bounds, and subscribing to the Ash Tales podcast will provide you with a regular, irradiated dose of post apocalyptic fiction.
Ash Tales | Stories of the Apocalypse is available wherever you enjoy your podcasts, from iTunes to Stitcher (I’m a Pocketcasts man myself). If you’d like to follow the show directly, you can also check out our Soundcloud account:
Over to You
Finally, before we dive straight in to our first journey into the apocalypse, I have a challenge for you.
If you love writing post apocalyptic fiction, get in touch.
I’m looking for great writers that want to see their stories brought to life on the podcast. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, or a fresh-faced amateur, send me your short story – if I like it, I’ll turn it into a full-blown episode of the Ash Tales podcast.
